In 1995 a wonderful opportunity fell into my lap. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. It was shortly after Steven Spielberg had received critical acclaim for his film, ‘Schindlers List’. During the very difficult time Mr Spielberg had making this film, many survivors went to the filming location and told him that he should make a film about their life. Clearly, each had an important story of their own that had never been told. Following this, Steven had a dream that he would collect 50,000 survivor testimonies around the world.
I was invited to become the UK coordinator of the Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation. Taking on this role was the biggest privilege of my life and I would love to share with you how I became involved and what developed. It’s a really incredible story!
Bernice Krantz is, without question, a people person. During the last forty years, she has had her own nursery school, taught ante-natal classes - which gave her a multi-faceted experience of working with mothers and their children - and this led to her interest to help all those she was connected with to improve and maintain their health. Bernice is a respected homeopath with her own successful practice.
Within this period, from 1995-2004, Bernice worked as the UK coordinator for Survivors of the Shoah Foundation, recording testimonies and life stories which enhanced her listening skills. The interviewing also helped dealing with psychological patterns and as a result, she now receives referrals from counsellors who appreciate that homeopathy can speed up their clients healing.
