Paul has been in the music, entertainment and media industry for many years and has an abundance of stories, anecdotes to tell. Paul started as an actor working with such famous names as Judy Garland, Dirk Bogarde, John Gregson, Tony Hancock and many other famous actors.
Paul moved into the music business becoming a hit record producer and then senior executive in the music and media industry. He has been associated with many successes, hits and ventures and has worked with some of the most famous people in the entertainment and media industry including Simon Cowell, Pete Waterman and Alvin Stardust (who he managed, co-produced and co-wrote with).

As stated above under The World of Music & Entertainment, Paul has achieved substantial success working on a daily basis in the music, digital, allied & other businesses. Paul currently works as an expert consultant and company director.
Following his early career as an actor, Paul moved into the music business playing in a group called 'The Method' and then got signed as a co-writer of songs for Richard Anthony and for David Essex. Paul then started working in the music business for music publishers as a promotion man called a ‘plugger’. He was head-hunted to work at Carlin Music (including artists and labels such as Elvis Presley, Motown, and Philadelphia International Records) and many other labels and artists. Whilst at Carlin, Paul signed the UK entry for Eurovision “Let Me Be The One” performed by The Shadows in Stockholm which achieved 2 position in the competion. Paul then joined Paul Grade, son of Lord Grade, working with Paul and Lord Grade (Chairman ATV Music and Pye Records), where he produced, published and marketed hits by ‘Sheer Elegance’ achieving top ten hits in the UK charts as well as publishing a number one hit from the States. He then joined Hansa Records - one of the most successful independent record and publishing companies in the world - working with international artists including Boney M, Japan and many other artists and publishing copyrights.
Following his period at Hansa, Paul became General Manager/Divisional MD at Pinnacle Records creating one of the first independent record distributors in the late 70’s. It was whilst there that Paul signed “The Nick Straker Band” who went on to achieve huge success with the massive hit “A Walk in The Park” (Nos. 1 chart hit in many territories in Europe) and also with the colossal dance smash “A Little Bit of Jazz” (Nos. 1 USA Billboard Dance Charts). Whilst at Pinnacle, Paul met and worked closely with Pete Waterman, one of the biggest producers and songwriters in the world. Paul enjoyed great success at Pinnacle which established itself as the 1st number 1 ‘Independent’ record distributor in the UK. Paul subsequently went freelance to produce/publish hit tracks, songs and projects, including working with Simon Cowell on various ventures including Sinitta.
For a considerable period of time, Paul was involved with Ricall, a leading B2B digital music rights clearance company, allowing commercial users the opportunity to license music for commercial purposes such as advertising, films, TV, games etc. Whilst at Ricall, Paul secured ground breaking licenses for copyright usage in new technology with music industry bodies PRS/MCPS, PPL & major recording and music publishing rights owners.
Paul created the highly successful TV marketed series of classical artists including Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras as well as the hugely successful 60’s, 70’s and 80’s Megamix Series and Michael Jackson hits Megamix compilation. Paul has worked with leading media companies, is acknowledged as an expert in IP, Digital rights marketing, promotion and licensing for many uses and is a director of Lynton Muir Music Limited.
In recent years, Paul managed and co-produced Alvin Stardust as well as other hit artists in the past.
Paul is currently a key director of a new company building a unique service platform utilising music, greetings, photos in the Greetings eGift and Physical gifting arena. The Apps and HTML platforms will operate on smart phones, tablets, desk and laptops. Paul has recently completed advising a fitness company regarding enforcement and protection of their IP rights in respect of their unique ‘format’ programming.
